Elmer the Elephant

After reading Elmer's Special Day, by David Mckee, students started to make their own versions of Elmer. Students traced a template to create their shapes, decorated their elephant with patterns and colored them in with colored pencil. Lastly, using patterned paper, scissors and glue, background shapes were added to complete their designs.
