   • Receive feedback on your thesis statements

   • Sign up for conferences on the board

2. Review model essay--introduction and body paragraph/analysis

3. Look at rubric.

4. Use your individual and group brainstorming to write your explication essay in class today. We will have some time to work on this in class on Friday, but it will be due by the end of class on Friday (Feb 25), which is slightly shortened due to an Academy Day.

   • Homework this week is to be working on your essay--this WILL require work outside of class!

   • Sign up for conferences during reading time, workshop time, our outside of our class by appointment.
