Agenda:

1. Dialogue quiz (posted on Classroom).

2. Independent reading with book clubs!

   • If you need to conference on your writing, please write your name on the board.

3. Prep for book club discussions for a minor grade.

   • Write down one question from your reading (Assignment 1.4 on Classroom). Then, answer your question with your own thoughts/opinions. Be ready to share these out with your group for a minor grade and complete a reflection on how your discussion went.

4. Author's craft study: word choice and diction!

5. Go back in your creative story and add more dialogue and try to edit and revise word choice to indicate the TONE and MOOD you are hoping to create.

Homework:

• Make sure your book club discussion prep is completed by next class for group discussions! Minor grade.

• Read to your assigned page.

• MAP testing on September 13th. Please bring a charged device!

• AT LEAST 2 full pages of your Creative Writing Story due next Tuesday.
