League of Excellence
The League of Excellence
The League Of Excellence highlights & showcases students who have shown how principled they are as Leigh Learners and by extension IB Learners.
Students who are gaining success in the LOE are students who are consistently displaying our values of Respect, Responsibility & Resilience whilst also showing the following:
Being:
Balanced in their views and opinions
Open minded to people around them
Risk takers with their learning when challenged, and due to this becoming more knowledgeable
Positive communicators
Reflective of themselves in regards to their learning and behaviour
How is the League of Excellence calculated?
Attendance - takes student's % attendance for the Module e.g 96% which is converted to bonus points as follows:
100% = 100 points
Above 95% = 50 points
Above 93% = 25 points
Behaviour - your total number of Positive Behaviour points minus your total number of Negative Behaviour points.
For example: “Joe Bloggs” got an R4 = 40 points (helping to show guests around the academy) but was late to school and got an S1 (S1 = -10 points). This gives this person a score of 30 points for this section.
You then get a bonus point for every reward event and lose a point for every sanction.
