We've updated our terminology to unify our approach across all hubs. These updates are meant to align language across all programs and simplify understanding.
Here’s what changed: Learner Attributes are now Learning Domains, Categories are now Competencies, Competencies are now Skills.
For example, Learning Domains include "Learning to Be" and "Learning to Relate." Under these, we have Competencies like "Mathematical Thinking" and "Social and Cultural Savvy," which contain Skills such as interpreting statistical graphs.
These updates help ensure consistency, while skills still vary by program as learners progress. For more details, visit the Learning Vitae website: https://vitae.learnlife.com/framework
Please remember that you can always check your learner's attendance using the Edvoice app. If your learner will be absent or arriving late, kindly email Benedetta at benedetta@learnlife.com. Providing this information is essential for maintaining the safety and well-being of all our learners. Thank you for your cooperation!

Engaging in thoughtful conversations about your learner's experiences at Learnlife can support their growth and help them connect more deeply with their learning journey. The following questions are designed to encourage reflection and self-awareness. You can adjust these questions based on your learner’s age and capacity for reflection, with simpler questions suited to younger learners and more complex ones for older learners.
Building the Why
“What do you like about this project? How does it help you grow?”
“Why did you choose to work on this? Is it something you’re excited about?”
“How does working on this help you with your goals? Do you think it will be useful in the future?”
Understanding the How
“Can you show me how you did this? What was fun or tricky about it?”
“Did you try anything new this time? How did it feel to work that way?”
“Can you explain your approach? Was there a reason you did it this way?”
Seeing the Big Picture
“What was the best part of this activity? Why?”
“Did you notice anything here that connects to something else you’ve learned? How?”
“How does this experience compare to others you’ve had? What would you do differently next time?”
Our Music Studio is thriving, and we’re excited to expand our collection of instruments for learners to explore. Before we invest in new instruments, we wanted to reach out to our community to see if there are any instruments tucked away in closets that could be given new life and love here in our studio. If you have any instruments, tools, or resources that might enrich our Music Studio, we would be delighted to give them a home where they’ll be well cared for and enjoyed by our learners.
Your child can bring their own lunch daily. Alternatively, you can place an order for their lunch through our catering partner, the Healthiest Choice. If you would like further details, please email urbanhub@learnlife.com. Once learners turn 16, they can leave the Hub for lunch and breaks. If your child is in Creators and under 16, they can leave the Hub for lunch with your permission. Please make sure they bring their own cutlery. We recommend that your child also bring healthy snacks with them in case they would like to eat during breaks.
We are looking for 3-4 professionals from diverse fields, and your experience would be a great addition. Wednesday, 16 Oct 10:10 - 11:00

This cycle, Explorers are diving into a variety of learning experiences that blend practical skills, creative thinking, and cultural awareness. From exploring the periodic table and the fundamentals of chemistry to developing everyday financial literacy through budgeting and smart consumer habits, learners are building a foundation that combines scientific curiosity with life skills.
They are also reflecting on significant historical events and cultural themes to understand our interconnected world, all while engaging with language through storytelling projects and Catalan media analysis. Together, these building blocks foster a well-rounded approach to learning, encouraging curiosity, independence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
This cycle, Creators have chosen from an exciting array of building blocks that allow them to delve into diverse fields, each fostering unique skills and competencies. They are exploring everything from the world of fantasy literature and the power of storytelling in Literature Circles, to the scientific wonders of Molecular Gastronomy, where food meets chemistry in a delicious fusion. Learners are also building resilience and body awareness in Body Intelligence, as they learn how movement and mindfulness can enhance personal growth. Some have opted to explore the complexities of history and power in Human Systems, while others tackle real-world financial challenges in Maths for Life.
Whether developing expressive skills in Català, Castellano, or Spanish, or diving into journalistic inquiry with Photojournalism and Journalism as a Witness to the Past, each learner is taking an active role in shaping their own educational path. We're thrilled to see the creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills our learners are cultivating through these hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experiences.
This cycle, our Changemakers have embraced a diverse set of building blocks that empower them to explore complex topics, develop practical skills, and prepare for future challenges. In humanities-focused blocks like Human Systems: Rise and Fall and Exploring Psychology, learners are examining the historical impact of power structures and delving into the intricacies of the human mind, fostering insights into societal dynamics and personal behavior. Those drawn to creativity and community impact are engaging with Impact (Maker) and Social Impact Marketing, where art and strategic communication are used to inspire positive change.
In AP Precalculus and Cross-Systems: A Simulation of Science in Business, which offer real-world applications of mathematics and science through simulations and entrepreneurial exploration. To strengthen their communication, English for University equips learners with critical reading and writing skills essential for higher education, while Design with Purpose and Next Steps Workshop guide them in tackling industry-inspired challenges and mapping out personalized plans for their futures.
In the Studios, learners of all ages have the opportunity to immerse themselves in hands-on, creative projects tailored to their interests. With access to a diverse range of materials, resources, and expert guidance, they can choose each cycle between collaborating on an expert-led project or pursuing a self-selected one. The Studios offer a wide array of options including Music, Art, Fashion, Photography, 3D Design, Coding, Theatre, Culinary, Carpentry/Fab Lab, Environmental Science, Ceramics, Sports, and Urban Plastics.
This approach emphasizes co-created, learner-centered projects that foster autonomy and creativity. Each Studio experience supports learners in building practical skills and nurturing their creative expression, providing a dynamic complement to their academic pursuits. By engaging in both collaborative and independent work, learners can explore their passions, develop new skills, and take ownership of their learning in ways that empower them to make meaningful contributions to the world around them.
