Our Explorers are in full swing, bringing their final projects to life with creativity and purpose! This cycle, projects range from investigating the fascinating world of chemical elements and compounds to designing a history-inspired escape room, tackling real-world budgeting skills, and dreaming up ways to make their community better. To add to the excitement, today we celebrated Halloween with a lively party, complete with a spirited costume competition. Check out the photos above to see all the fun!
After the midpoint reflection, Creators have been iterating their outputs and completing artefacts of multiple types for their various Building Blocks. They have been building historical Rube Goldberg machines, writing personal pieces (stories, poems, …), made financial plans, and slipped into the shoes of a journalist.
One highlight: the outing to the Catalan TV outlet TV3, where we saw the "behind the scenes" of series and news productions!
Learners are currently engaged in a business simulation, where they make strategic decisions each week to compete in a simulated marketplace. They design and pitch products inspired by the latest scientific advancements. Simultaneously, they are preparing entries for the AD&D New Blood Awards, crafting social marketing campaigns aimed at positively impacting their learning community.
Learners are exploring advanced concepts and applications, diving into functions and behavior in AP Precalculus and psychological principles in AP Psychology. Additionally, as "adelantes," they are leading their own Building Blocks sessions for peers, covering topics from board game strategy to entrepreneurship and personal development.
Studios across the hub have been busy developing a wide range of outputs. Learners have been encouraged to pursue individual projects and the overall quality and range of ideas has been exciting to watch grow from ideation into real tangible results.
As we work to support our learners across the studios we are continuing to reach out to the community in search of resources and tools that might add value to our studio spaces. If you have any neglected items that might find a newfound home in the Hub, please reach out to Jim at jim@learnlife.com to see if it could be put to good use.
We are looking for:
Analog or Digital DSLR cameras

At Learnlife, we prioritize meaningful growth over traditional grades. When a transcript is needed, learners collaborate with Learning Guides to convert self-assessments into grades. Each assessment is reviewed, and if a learner’s rating exceeds the delivered quality, we provide feedback to help them reach that level. This process makes the transcript a true reflection of their growth. Please request transcripts at least one week in advance.
During breaks, our learners immerse themselves in activities that spark creativity and connection without the distraction of screens. They gather to build puzzles, play football at the Seminary, play Spikeball, challenge each other in ping pong matches, and play games crafted during our intensive workshops. Many enjoy a game of chess, while others try their hand at the vintage video games on a custom-built arcade designed by their peers. Between rounds, they unwind with good conversation or a favorite book, creating a lively, interactive environment that fuels their curiosity and bonds with one another.
We have had a reflection point, as we reach the middle of the cycle, for learners to take note of their progress so far and reflect on what’s still ahead. The learners have been uploading their outputs so far and we encourage families to engage in conversation:
Explorers: mentors are sending to families the learners’ PLPs with the outputs linked. Take a look at it with your learner!
Creators: learners have been using our brand new Learning Vitae website to track their outputs. Ask your learner to show you!
Changemakers: learners have been updating their PLPs with their reflections and current outputs. Check it out and take it as a conversation starter!
Please remember that you can always check your learner's attendance using the Edvoice app. If your learner will be absent or arriving late, kindly email Benedetta at benedetta@learnlife.com. Providing this information is essential for maintaining the safety and well-being of all our learners. Thank you for your cooperation!

Our Music Studio is thriving, and we’re excited to expand our collection of instruments for learners to explore. Before we invest in new instruments, we wanted to reach out to our community to see if there are any instruments tucked away in closets that could be given new life and love here in our studio. If you have any instruments, tools, or resources that might enrich our Music Studio, we would be delighted to give them a home where they’ll be well cared for and enjoyed by our learners.
Your child can bring their own lunch daily. Alternatively, you can place an order for their lunch through our catering partner, the Healthiest Choice. If you would like further details, please email urbanhub@learnlife.com. Once learners turn 16, they can leave the Hub for lunch and breaks. If your child is in Creators and under 16, they can leave the Hub for lunch with your permission. Please make sure they bring their own cutlery. We recommend that your child also bring healthy snacks with them in case they would like to eat during breaks.
