This course is designed to provide an understanding of the science required to pass the cosmetology state board exam. Topics covered will include:  basic chemistry – matter, chemical reactions and pH; basic electricity – current, voltage, safety devices, electrotherapy, light and light energy; general anatomy – cells, tissues and body systems; skin and nail structure and growth; infection control principles and practices and skin disorders and diseases.
