Pre-Calculus is offered to further prepare students for calculus and college mathematics. The course focuses on problem solving and exploration while building a deeper understanding of algebraic techniques. Major areas of study include exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, polynomial, and rational functions. Limits may also be explored. A graphing calculator is required. This class also covers trigonometry which focuses on problem solving and exploration while building a deeper understanding of algebraic techniques. Topics include studying right and non-right triangles, exploring radian and degree measure, the unit circle, graphing sinusoids, using inverses, verifying identities, solving equations, and finding arc length and area. A calculator will be provided for in-class use only.
