This elective writing course will encourage self-expression, exploration of different writing genres, and the development of unique voices. Students will experiment with various forms of writing, including short stories, poetry, and personal essays. They will learn the key elements of storytelling, such as character development, setting, plot structure, and style. They will engage in writing prompts, free-writing sessions, and group activities that spark inspiration and foster a supportive environment for creative growth. By the end of the semester, students will have a portfolio of original work, a deeper understanding of the writing process, and the ability to provide constructive feedback to peers.
