214 – French IV Honors/CCP – 1 credit & credit through Columbus State Community College

·         Full Year - Recommend a “C” or better in 213 – Teacher Recommendation – Grade 12

Semester 1: FR1102 in the high school classroom. We will follow the CSCC curriculum and pacing. This gives students the opportunity to earn college credit and refine French skills learned in French I and II. Course conducted entirely in French. Exams take place out of school hours.

Semester 2: The Honors French Language and Culture course emphasizes communication (understanding and being understood by others) by applying interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational skills in real-life situations. This includes vocabulary usage, language control, communication strategies, and cultural awareness. The Honors French Language and Culture course strives not to overemphasize grammatical accuracy at the expense of communication. To best facilitate the study of language and culture, the course is taught almost exclusively in French.
