Animal Science

Program

Animal Science will prepare students for careers in training, proper care of and health management of animals. Companion animals are used for recreation or leisure purposes as well as the maintenance of animal health and well-being. Students will gain the necessary technical skills in animal nutrition, reproduction, health, genetics and behavior. Students are prepared for postsecondary majors in Animal/Livestock Husbandry and Production, Dairy Science, Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician, Veterinary Assistant and Zoology/Animal Biology. Careers for which this pathway prepares students include:
