Term 3 Week 5

Talofa Base 4 Whānau!

The past two weeks have been actioned packed with learning, sports training, events and UC4L! Check out what Base 4 has been up to below.

Attendance:

Current Base 4 attendance: 85.4%

Unfortunately our Base 4 attendance has dropped over the past two weeks. Now that our base is smaller, every child who is away makes a big difference to our attendance percentage. Base 4 kaiako discussed with our tamariki that if our attendance finishes the term on 90% or higher, we will have a pizza party! Please help our base increase our attendance percentage.

UC4L

The last two weeks have been very busy in Base 4 with UC4L. Last week, our tamariki were in the design phase of the innovation model and were busy creating their designs and prototypes. Creating their designs and prototypes meant that they were fully prepared for our implementation day. Base 4 was fortunate to have Mr Feau and Mr Siluuga in to assist with the creations.

The day included science experiments, coconut bowl making, art lino carving, woodworking, beading, sculptures and even some students fixing Chromebooks!

Cross Country

Congratulations to all Base 4 tamariki who went to North Counties cross country! It was wet and cold but everyone showed amazing TREC and we and incredibly proud of you all. We had 3 students from our base finish in the top 10 for their year groups!

Year 5 Girls:
