The needs for an extended provisional  educator will vary. The information about why a teacher is extended status is confidential. It could be a variety of issues from licensing problems, classroom management, etc. You role as mentor will be to provide support for the educator. You may have been working with this educator already, and know what goals they need to set. 

Here are some discussion topics as your meet with your mentee: 

• What are your strengths? 

• What are some areas that you feel like you could improve on? 

• What is a goal you would like to set? 

• What would achieving your goal look like? 

• How can I help and support you as your mentor?
