Introduction
A Li Buddha, also known as "Fudo Buddha", resides in the East among the Five Buddhas. He is the Buddha who presides over the Pure Land of the East in the early Mahayana classics. He symbolizes the great round mirror wisdom of the Great Day Tathagata, which can realize the nature of human beings and make them have the state of mind to cut off the troubles of the world and achieve the wisdom of liberation. This Ashe Buddha was made of pure gold and was unearthed in the main tower of Chongsheng Temple in Dali in 1978. The Buddha has a gentle bun, wave-like hair, and a shoulder-length coat. The left hand knots the meditation seal, the right hand hangs down in front of the knee, and the palm to the inner knot drops the magic seal. The overall shape of the image is of the Central Plains style, while the silky water wave pattern is quite Pakistani Swat style.
