The Tibet Museum is located in the southeast corner of Norbulingka, Lhasa. It is the only first-class museum with modern functions in Tibet. It was opened on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 40th anniversary of the democratic reform in Tibet in October 1999.

The Tibet Museum is not only the largest cultural relics collection, protection, research and exhibition center in Tibet, but also an important place for people to understand, understand and study Tibetan history and traditional culture.
