Zibo Museum was established on April 2,1958, which is a full amount public institution under the Zibo Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism. Zibo Museum is now the National secondary Museum, which is a comprehensive, geological museum, the main functions of cultural relics collection, scientific research and publicity and education. Zibo Museum has been open free of charge since 2008, which is an important window to publicize Zibo, and has been named Provincial Civilized Unit, the Advanced Unit of Cultural System Reform in Shan Dong province and other honorary titles. Zibo Museum fully explore the advantages of cultural relics collections. The existing basic exhibitions are Collection of fine cultural relics exhibition, The Accompanying Pit of the Tomb of The Prince of Qi Exhibition, Ancient Zibo Exhibition, Zibo Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Achievements Exhibition and Zibo Collection of fine Pictures Exhibition. These exhibitions are open to the public all year round. In addition, the museum also introduces nearly 20 high-grade cultural and art exhibitions every year. Therefore, it has high social influence. Zibo Museum is an important base for patriotism education, caring for the next generation education, learning and practice of minors, and theoretical education and research, with complete functions, rich content and excellent service. At present, it has formed a system which include the basic display, the special topic display, the temporary exhibition complementing each other. As the content of the exhibition continues to enrich, it has attracted a large number of visitors, especially primary and middle school students into the museum.

Since the establishment of Zibo Museum in 1958, the total collection of the museum has reached 25197 pieces/set, including 50 pieces (sets) of First Grade Cultural Relic, 99 pieces (sets) of Second Grade Cultural Relic, and 540 pieces (sets) of Third Grade Cultural Relic. The main sources are old collection, transfer, handover, selection, donation, acquisition, solicitation, collection, excavation, etc., formed a local characteristics of the historical relics and cultural system. The texture categories cover bronzes, ceramics, Jade Ware, gold, silver, ancient coins, as well as paper, calligraphy and painting, weapons, emblems, leather and wood, folk cultural relics and miscellaneous items, etc. Among them, the collection of cultural relics is mainly based on unearthed in the tomb of the King of Shang in Linzi and the tomb of the King of Qi in the Western Han Dynasty . The unearthed rectangular bronze mirror with dragon pattern, bronze drinking vessel, bird handle lamp, goose foot lamp, white fungus cup, human-shaped foot The square furnace, high-handled lid beans, gold-silver copper boxes, rectangular bronze mirrors, silver plates, gold-plated bronze wares, inscribed bronzes and silverware, and various types of jade are all First Grade Cultural Relic. Among them, the rectangular bronze mirror with dragon pattern in the Western Han Dynasty is extremely rare among the remaining bronze mirrors, and it can be called the king of bronze mirrors in the world. The large bronze mirror is 115.1 cm in length, 57.5 cm in width, 1.2 cm thick, and weighs 56.5 kg. It is currently the largest number of bronze mirrors unearthed in China. It is First Grade Cultural Relic and the "First batch of prohibition of going abroad (border)" issued by the National Cultural Heritage Administration in 2002 One of the 64 (groups) of cultural relics prohibited from going abroad (territory) in the "Catalog of Cultural Relics on Exhibition".
