Introduction to AMGX
Located in the bank of Yong River, completed in December of 2008 and opened to the public on May 1, 2009, Anthropology Museum of Guangxi (AMGX) is a professional museum focusing on displaying ethnic group's culture. Now it is a national first grade museum, National Civilized Unit and National Unity and Progress Education Base.
Its architecture covers an area of 33,000㎡. At present it has 35,000 pieces (sets) of collections, containing ancient bronze drum, ethnic group’s dress, weaved brocade and embroidery, livelihood and production tools, folk handicrafts and folk residence, etc.. Within it there are six permanent exhibitions: Bronze Drum Culture Exhibition, Colorful Guangxi--Guangxi Ethnic Culture Exhibition, Zhuang Culture Exhibition, Chinese Culture Exhibition for Nationalities, Colorful World--Exhibition of International Ethnic Culture Collection and Yesterday Once More--Century Old Items Exhibition.
