One day in the early winter of 1982, young farmer Liu Dingquan was working on the banks of the Jialing River in Juxianyan Rock in the north of the Jiangxi River. He saw a shiny golden object among the rocks. Liu Dingquan picked it up and found it was a golden seal. Then it was donated to the country.

The golden seal is a turtle button, square, 2.4 cm in length and width, 108.95 grams in weight, and 96% gold. The seal is the five-character "Pian General's Seal" in the engraved seal script, arranged in 3 lines. Experts from the museum have verified that this golden seal should be a precious cultural relic from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms.

The establishment of the official position of "Pian General" began in Wang Mang's new dynasty. It was not found in many historical records until the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. For example, Cao Cao awarded Guan Yu and Ma Chao as Pian generals; Yi Wei Pian general and so on.

This precious cultural relic from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms period was originally collected by the Chongqing Museum and was a national first-class cultural relic, and was later transferred to the collection and display of the newly built Chongqing Three Gorges Museum.
