Exercising with Objects in your Home

Main activity: Using items you have at home create your own piece of exercise equipment. Use what you create to complete as many exercises as possible. CREDIT FOR THIS ACTIVITY: MAKE A VIDEO OF WHAT YOU HAVE MADE AND DEMONSTRATE HOW YOU ARE USING YOUR EQUIPMENT. Be careful when lifting, pulling or pushing what you have made. Control your body and space if you need any help please email me Owen.Plyler@jeffco.k12.co.us turn your video into my email.

How To Design a Work Out Program

Main Activity: Today your mission is to create DAY 1 of a 5 day workout program. Here are the items that need to be included

DAY 1:

Warm up: Design an activity that will slowly increase your heart rate and muscular temperature. It should include dynamic movements.

Main Activity: Design a main event activity that will focus on one of these components of fitness. Cardio vascular endurance, Muscular strength, Muscular endurance. Include what equipment you might use in this activity

Cool Down: Design a cool down activity that slows your heart rate down and helps your body/mind recover.

You need to include the time length for each part of your work out (should equal 45-60 minutes of activity), A description of each activity, equipment/space needed, what component of fitness each activity is working to improve

After you design your workout complete the workout.

If you need any assistance please email me Owen.Plyler@jeffco.k12.co.us

Day 3 of P.E.

We are learning to design a 5 day workout program

I can build a 5 day workout program that includes

A specific daily warm up, A specific daily main activity, A specific daily cool down you will need to tell me exactly what you will be doing

A time for each part of your workout, A variety of activities including cardio, strength, endurance and flexibility

Equipment needed for each day

A focus of each day (example: Day 3 I am working to improve leg strength, so I pick activities that work my legs, like leg press, walking or squats)

How to Exercise While You Are Cleaning. Clean One Room In Your House and Turn It Into An Exercise

Components of an Exercise Program

Main Activity: Design a 5 day workout program (you have already made day 1)

This should be created in calendar form. 2 of you 5 days can be active rest days for these days you may select activities like yard work, house cleaning or snow removal. Active rest days should still include 3 separate activities and the amount of time you will be doing each one. You will need to search examples of 5 day workout program to gather ideas. All items included in the day 1 plan you built yesterday need to be included for all five days. Below are examples of 5 day workout plans
