Dragons Around the World
This is your last chance to support students for the trip to Scandinavia by purchasing fabulous holiday decor. The due date for orders is Friday, November 1st! The wreaths, door sprays, and centerpieces come from Minnesota and smell amazing (fresh pine!). For every item sold, $8 will go towards the trip for students. Items ordered will be mailed via FedEx starting November 11th, right to your door! Just click on this LINK to order! Feel free to share with family and friends!
Astronomy Class
On Tuesday December 10th, we plan on going to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to see a showing of Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity and to explore the Space Odyssey exhibit (If time permits, groups will be able to explore other exhibits as well). The cost of the trip will be $12 and you can pay this in the portal where you pay your student’s fees. We will leave the school at 9:15 AM and return by 1:30 PM. Students will be expected to make up any work they missed in other classes on this day, so students should reach out to teachers before the trip to know what they will need to do. Students should be coming home with a permission slip today. It is also posted in Mr. Underwood's google classroom in case you need to print one.
All Permission Slips need to be turned in by Halloween 10/31.

Second Step Lessons are back!
FOR 8TH GRADE
All 8th grade students will be attending a field trip to Skate City for a STEM lesson on the "Science Behind Hockey". The dates of the trip are 11/8 and 11/11. In this lesson students will learn how STEM plays a large part in sports, specifically hockey. They will learn how three different kinds of motion can make a difference in the outcome of the game. Students will also attempt to shoot a puck into a net with a couple different types of hockey sticks. This lesson covers science topics such as physics, probability, and angular/projectile/linear motion. Students will also have free skate/arcade time in order to build community and have some fun with their peers! Every 8th grader must have permission to attend!
