Nutrition Services is asking that ALL students make an effort to bring their ID to the lunchroom if they are eating hot lunch. Please discuss this with your student and help them come up with a plan to remember to carry their ID to the lunch room. Thank you!
Join us on December 12th at 6pm for a virtual training to learn more about a new program at Drake called F.A.C.E. Your Fears. This program provides targeted programming for all stakeholders within the school ecosystem. This program will allow everyone (admin, staff, mental health professionals, parents/caregivers, and students) to use the same playbook with regard to understanding and addressing anxiety. This provides a non-stigmatizing approach to anxiety and other mental health issues, teaches skills/habits that grow with students as they age, and leads to better behavioral and academic outcomes for students. Here is the link: meet.google.com/tdm-voyf-qkn
NJHS will be sponsoring a toy drive from Wednesday, December 6-15. The donations will be going to Children's Hospital. Only new items will be accepted due to infection control guidelines. Click here for a wish list they have put together. Thank you and happy holidays.

SEL Lesson Questions for Parents for 12/04/23
Battle of the Books is a program that encourages students to read a variety of great books, have fun, and compete by demonstrating their knowledge of these books. Each novel is different genres including historical fiction, graphic novels, fantasy, nonfiction, realistic fiction, science fiction, and novels in verse.
Students who join Battle of the Books will form a team of 2-6 students from our school. The collective group will agree to read all eight books. This means the group is responsible for reading all the books on the list, but not every student needs to read every book. Teams have from December-March to read. Then, they will compete in a Battle of the Books competition that reaches across multiple Jeffco middle schools. For the competition, students will be quizzed about the book(s) that they have read. To sign up, please see Ms. Chubb in the library.
