IMPORTANT INFORMATION for FAMILIES
Trimester 3 Schedules
Trimester 3 Schedules
Trimester 3 schedules are now live on campus. We did not print paper copies of schedules, so please check Infinite Campus for your student's trimester 3 schedule!
Schedules will ONLY be changed if there is a mistake in placement or a missing class. There will be NO team changes, teacher changes, or Explore class changes. We have done our best to fulfill 8th grade students’ elective requests; however, due to scheduling limitations students may not have gotten each of their requested classes.
Reasons a student would need to fill out the Schedule Change Request Form:
1. Missing a core class (ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science).
2. Have a different teacher in trimester 3 than you did in trimester 1 & 2 for a core class.
2. Not in the correct level course (science 6 instead of science 7).
3. Not enrolled in a yearlong elective that you wanted.
4. Have an explore/elective you have already taken.
This form must be completed by February 27th at 4pm.
Community Closet
Drake is starting a Community Closet that any student can access for a wide array of personal hygiene supplies, clothing, and school necessities free of charge. No student should ever have to worry about lacking the basic essentials for success, and the Community Closet ensures that every student has equitable access to these crucial items. Whether it's a helping hand during tough times or simply a convenient resource for those in need, the Community Closet is here to serve and uplift the entire student body. Because when we come together as a community, we can make sure that no student is left behind.
If you are interested in donating any clothing, shoes, and/or supplies, please reach out to rebecca.ewald@jeffco.k12.co.us, our 6th grade counselor.. We are happy to take any new or lightly used items for the closet!

Tis the season, and since our students have returned from Outdoor Lab, we have seen a large increase in students coming to school and going home sick, and students being called out for things like fever, Covid, and Influenza. As a reminder, here are some guidelines for determining whether your child should come to school if they are not feeling well. Thank you for helping to keep our student body healthy.

Yearbook Group Photos will be Taken Starting Feb 26
Group pictures for the yearbook will be taken starting the week of Feb 26 during Access/Advisement, DEAR time, and Thursdays Academic Focus time. We will continue into Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of following week during Advisement/Access as well. Please refer to this picture schedule so that your child can plan on being there at his/her scheduled time.

PANORAMA EDUCATION FAMILY SURVEY
We want to hear from you! Panorama Education is conducting our annual family survey to provide us with benchmarking against national norms. We encourage you to complete this survey about your experience with your student(s) school. If you have multiple students at various schools, please complete one for each student. In addition, if you have one or more students at the same school, please take the survey thinking about your oldest student enrolled. Be sure to select the submit button at the end of the survey so your responses are captured. The survey will remain open until Friday, February 23.
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Results will be used to improve our district and your student(s) learning environment. You can view previous survey results under the School Culture tab.

We are so excited to start offering Hazel Health session opportunities during the school day! Hazel Health is an optional support students/families can participate in to get free telehealth support. Drake has partnered with Hazel Health to offer sessions during the school day to make it more accessible to all families. Please print this Day Without Hate Order Form, fill it out, and have your student bring the order form and payment to their Advisement teacher by Thursday, March 7th. All proceeds go to the DWOH Scholarship that is only available to Jeffco students.

Wish your student a Happy Birthday on the Drake digital marquee!
Get your student a "Happy Birthday!" with their name to rotate through the messages on the marquee throughout the day you choose (located at the entrance, off 52nd Ave.).
