IMPORTANT INFORMATION for FAMILIES
Dear Parents-
Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in the use of dehumanizing language from students at Drake. I am making you aware of this, not only to keep you informed, but to ask for help in having conversations with your students. Dehumanizing language makes others feel not valued, and like they don't have a place a Drake. This behavior will have consequences, and ultimately will not be tolerated. Please help us continue our work in creating a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Here are some resources for talking to your students about this concern, in an effort to continue to create a climate where all students feel like they belong at Drake.
