Transportation & Construction Girl Day
Students from Drake Middle School have the opportunity to attend the free Transportation & Construction Girl Day again this year! Ms. Nelson and Ms. Ewald will chaperone any Drake girl student that would like to attend this awesome event. They will meet with Superstar Women that are successful: architects, engineers, project managers, estimators, owners, superintendents, attorneys, carpenters, electricians and more. There will be over 50 interactive exhibits of the transportation and construction companies that believe women belong in this industry and deserve financially rewarding jobs.
This event is on September 26th, during the school day. A bus will be arranged to transport students to the Jeffco County Fairgrounds. Since your student will be missing school, they are responsible for talking with their teachers to get any work they miss.
If your student is interested in joining, please complete this form and this permission slip then have your student bring it to either Ms. Ewald or Ms. Nelson by September 9th. Drake will register all students as part of Drake's group.

MENTAL HEALTH
Drake Counseling
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. During advisement, students will participate in activities designed to promote emotional well-being. These activities include supporting suicide prevention, practicing gratitude, discussing coping skills, and fostering a strong sense of belonging within our school community. We believe these lessons are crucial for building a safe and supportive environment for all our students. Please review this Family Info Flyer to learn more about warning signs, how to support your child, and so much more! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your student's counselor.
