On behalf of the Drake Staff, I would like to thank the Drake PTO and everyone who donated so generously to make Teacher Appreciation week so special! Our teachers and staff were spoiled with food, snacks, a metal tumbler, gift cards and so much more- there was something nearly every day of the week. We are so lucky that we have your support and are thankful we get to work with your kids every day! THANK YOU!

Come One, Come All, to our second 7th Grade Poetry Slam!!!!
25 students have been nominated by their peers for their phenomenal slam poems!! They will be competing in front our amazing judges for 1st (plaque + $50 Starbucks gift card), 2nd (plaque + $40 Amazon gift card), and 3rd (plaque + $30 Amazon gift card) on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 in the Drake Auditorium. Competitors arrive at 6:00 PM. The Slam starts at 6:30 PM.

As you may remember, we asked families, staff and students to take the Panorama survey so we could gather Jeffco and Drake specific data about your experience with our school. The data is now available for you to view here under the school culture tab.
End of School Year Schedule
May 23- last day for 8th grade- 11:30 release- busses will not run this day for 8th grade; there will be busses at 4:00 for 6th and 7th grade
7th grade field trip- details to come
6th grade fun day- details to come
May 24- last day for 6th & 7th grade- lunch will be served, busses will run; dismissal at 1:30.
Drake Clubs Are Ending
Drake clubs this year have been an amazing success! Students had so many wonderful opportunities to share their passions with their club sponsors. We are so thrilled to have been able to connect with our students through our clubs this year. We want to thank our families, students, and club sponsors for putting in the time to make the clubs so special.
*All clubs are officially done for the year. We will see you again for clubs starting after Labor Day next year for the 2024-2025 school year.

Attention: 6th and 7th grade parents! We need you! We need volunteers to help at 8th grade continuation on May 22nd from 7:15 to 8:30 so 8th grade parents can sit and enjoy the ceremony. We are excited to announce our upcoming Flag Football Middle School Clinic, scheduled to take place on May 18, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This clinic promises to be an enriching experience for all participants, providing valuable skills development and a fun-filled day of flag football action!
Here are the key details you need to know:

Early Registration (Until April 26): $45 per person
Regular Registration (After April 26): $45 per person
This clinic is open to any middle school female currently in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade who is eager to learn and/or enhance their flag football skills. It’s a fantastic opportunity for players to develop their abilities, learn from experienced coaches, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow athletes.
