In advance of the term, faculty should first confirm all your course materials are correct in your Personal MASTER:
Review the flow of the course and the order of assignments
Make note of your specific course start and end date as published on Catalogs & Course Schedule
Occasionally, the Academic Calendar requires adjustments to the standard number of weeks for a given section of the course, i.e., summer or winter terms. Do you need to make adjustments for your section? If so, click here to view Academic Calendar Accommodations.
Are there any DATES or other references to previous semesters? You should eliminate all dates and semester specific references in the MASTER shell and only make those adjustments to the live courses.
Are there any old assignments that you do not want to use? If you have a copy elsewhere (on your computer or your network drive), then you should delete the old and unwanted files or activities from your master.
Have you added new assignments or resources while teaching that you intend to use next time? If you added something to a live course while teaching, then you must also add it to your MASTER so that the master shell stays current and is ready for use. Update your MASTER with any new items or assignments.
Delete any references to previous faculty members if you have inherited a MASTER shell or other content.
When you are ready to import the contents from your either your Personal Mastershell or a prior course, we recommend you watch the video below "How to Import Course Content".
Faculty may import content from their Master shell to the live shell once those live shells are visible to them in their personal list of courses on Moodle. The content of personal master shells are not available for automated movement to live courses, so faculty are responsible for uploading their master content into live shells.
