Faculty are encouraged to customize their courses. Moodle is now equipped with student tracking, a progress bar that will appear by topic on the student course page. This tool has been implemented to help students stay on-task and organized.
Progess track tools, such as the progress bar and to-do lists, serve as general indicators for your students. These are not confirmation that a student has met every requirement of the week/topic, students are still responsible for confirming they have met all course expectations, as directed by the instructor and the course syllabus.
Note, this bar is not visible to faculty, but if you log in as a student, you can view the same.
For each line items in your course, completion tracking needs to be in place for the students to be able to reach the target 100% completion for that week, including overviews, pages, folders, forums, assignments, and assessments. The following displays how the default settings for each OSM course.
Should the requirements of your course differ from the below, faculty may alter them. Should you need assistance with your changes. For additional instruction on using Moodle, you may also request a Moodle Training session with the Office of Online Learning here and select the Moodle Services block.
