Technology at Haven is used to enhance instruction, data tracking, teacher efficiency, student efficiency, and collaboration. In addition to supporting student learning and well-being, we view technology as an essential tool used to support the Haven school model and our innovative practices around supporting students in a child-welfare space.
MySchool, the Haven student information system (SIS) is the backbone to support Haven’s data-driven workflows and requirements. MySchool is an essential tool for tracking, categorizing, and consolidating information into reports that are used to identify trends and areas where additional student or teacher support is needed. MySchool is further used to track all meaningful data for students, including information about transitions, and other mental health information.
All teachers go through training on how to implement technology and students utilize tech and 1:1 devices in their classes. Based on expertise and comfort level, teachers utilize technology to substitute, augment, modify, and redefine learning in their classrooms (SAMR framework).
