Reflections
Using Circuit playground express, I created an excerpt form Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes because I like that song and haven't worked with a lot of musical coding. I also had lights to go with the music. I also made Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones
During this process, I learned how to code the circuit to play music. I tried to learn how to get multiple things to go at the same time, but was unsuccessful. Otherwise I re-learned everything from last time.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global collaborator. This is because videos of my circuit are on it for the world to see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having difficulties with my PC. I was having troubles logging into my PC, it wouldn't save my project and was holding me back. I was able to do it by working on my Chromebook.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the type of coding I would be doing . The reason why I would change it is because I would like to see what else the circuit express could do. I would like to make the circuit do something cool
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because I programmed the circuit playground express.
My project connects to careers in software programming because the circuit playground was coding a peice of software. Software programmers use code to program computers and other kinds of software. Their average annual salary is $133,000.
