Reflections

• Using the Adafruit Circuit Playground Express, I created several projects, including colorful light shows and music machines. These projects allowed me to explore the capabilities of the device and develop my skills in programming and electronics.

• During this process, I learned how to use the Circuit Playground Express and gained hands-on experience with its features. I discovered how to program it to play music and developed a better understanding of how to write code that performs specific tasks the way I intended. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because my project is on a website for the world to see.

• A challenge I overcame during this project was not being able to play the music and the lights at the same time. I solved this by setting both the music and the lights to run continuously and simultaneously. Hence allowing them to function together as intended.

• Given a chance to do this again,   I would change what I made using the playground express. The reason why I would change it is because I would like to make something better and more innovative.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because we programmed our circuit playground expresses to do what we wanted them to do. 

• My project connects to careers in hardware programming. Hardware programmers test and program the physical aspects of technology. Their annual salary is $146, 230 per year.
