Planning Questions

Are you working by yourself or in a team?

I am working by myself. But I am helping others also.

What materials will you need for your project?

I will need an iPad, computer, pictures from the internet, and iMovie.

What is your plan to create in this project?

I plan to make a video about all the things that have changed about me.

What unique qualities will your project have?

Part of my video will be talking about my chicken that won at fair. Which is very hard to do.

Day 1

We started working on our video today in iMovie. We inserted different picture that fit the description of what my interested are.

Day 2

I worked on my video today in iMovie and finished putting all of the pictures and titles into it.

Day 3

I voiced over my video and put background music. I also added a sound effect at the end. After the video was done I uploaded it to drive and inserted it into my website.

Using my computer, iPad, and iMovie, I created a unique video about things that have changed about me because I wanted to share everything new that has happened to me this past year. I really enjoyed making this project and sharing ideas with my friends. My favorite part was picking out different pictures that matched my personality best.
During this process, I learned how to make a short film on iMovie. I also learned how to download things onto my drafts and share them with my computer. This is a very important thing to know how to do in my future.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I decided what to make my video about and I decided what pictures to add to it. This was really fun to do and I enjoyed it a lot.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding the right pictures that I thought matched me best. I was able to do it by browsing the internet until I found the right one. I also asked my classmates which ones they though fit my personality best.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of pictures I added and the quality of them as well. The reason why I would change it is because I want my projects to look as professional as possible. I would do this by taking more time to pick out my pictures and making sure that they all look professional.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. Digital Multimedia is the use of digital technology to create, manipulate and share various forms of media such as images, audios and videos.
My project connects to careers in Graphic Designer because they combine art and technology to communicate ideas through images and the layouts of websites. I think it would be super cool to go into a career like this. You get to design and work with technology all day, you also get to design different websites.
