Reflection
Using a tripod, a chessboard, legos, and an iPad I created a game of chess. Because I thought it would be cool to watch a chess game in stop-motion.
During this process, I learned that creating stop-motion videos is very difficult and time-consuming. I needed to take 700 pictures minimum to achieve this outcome.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to because of creative communicator. It connects to this because I conveyed my ideas effectively using a digital tool. Also, I presented ideas using a digital tool.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having my original project idea ruined, which was taking apart a Chromebook because the Chromebook went missing. I was able to do it by adapting and switching to a game of chess.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change using the 3-D printed chessboard. The reason why I would change it is because the 3-d chessboard is cool the regular chessboard might have looked better in the stop-motion video.
