YEAR 5 TAKE ACTION FOR WATER CONSERVATION
This year, Year 5 have looked at natural resources and the impact that these have on the survival of living things including plants and animals. They have considered what would happen if water ran out and the impact of this locally and around the world. As part of our action to encourage people to stop wasting water and to keep water clean, the children have created some posters to help share this message with our wider school community. This message has also been shared in the school with the poster distributed in and around the school building.
SUPPORTING THE ALZHEIMER'S SOCIETY BY DRESSING UP AS ELVES!
On Elf Day, we all dress up in something red, green, stripey or related to elves. We raise the money for the Alzheimer’s Society, which is a charity that supports dementia sufferers and their families. We are delighted to announce that we raised a grand total of £339.75. Thank you to everyone who donated to this brilliant cause!
SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL HOSPITAL WITH FESTIVE CHEER!
The festive season came alive at Leigh Academy Hartley as pupils from across the school delivered a series of delightful performances to celebrate Christmas. The events brought the school community together in a wonderful display of talent, teamwork, and holiday spirit. Ms Bayliss and her choir also visited Darent Valley Hospital and entertained everyone with their festive tunes!
