Diversity

While planning our curriculum, we thought hard to ensure our pupils would receive a balanced view of the world. As a core of the PYP framework, we want our children to become Global Citizens, and a part of that means understanding differences between people, races, genders, religions, abilities and so on. We want to break down barriers, prejudices and pre conceived ideas that people may have. We want our children to know that anyone, regardless of background, can achieve great things. This also links very closely with the British Values of mutual respect and tolerance of those from different faiths and backgrounds. Our curriculum therefore has a balanced view when considering famous authors, artists, scientists, historians and musicians. Click on the files below to see more information about this.
