Harvest Celebration - we collect donations of food and deliver these to our local foodbank: The Community Cupboard in West Kingsdown. Classes also do readings, sing songs and celebrate the history of Harvest time around the world.
Comic Relief and Red Nose Day - each year, school council decide on a range of fundraising activities for these Charities. See the link to the School Council page for more information.
Elf Day - the whole school dress up in something 'elfy' to raise money for Alzheimer's research.
Safer Internet Day - Our computing leader runs a range of workshops related to staying safe online.
NSPCC Speak Out. Stay Safe. - Our safeguarding team run assemblies led by the NSPCC about what children can do to keep themselves safe and happy.
Enterprise Week - 2021/22 saw the first of our annual Enterprise weeks. Each year group had a budget that they had to spend on creating a product that they designed, made and then sold at the end of the week in our enterprise fair. We had products ranging from biscuits, bird feeders, key rings and much more!
Music Week - throughout music week, each year group experiences music from different cultures around the world. They learn to play instruments (last year we had a steel-drum workshop) and sing songs. We all come together at the end of the week to share what we have learnt in a performance to the school.
Black History Month -every year, we celebrate black history month with a range of assemblies and learning around this event.
Diwali - different year groups celebrate this Hindu festival of light in different ways
STEM Week - the children love STEM week - a week full of exciting technology and science challenges. In the past, we have even had robot wars at school!
