Assessment

Assessment of our curriculum takes place as a meaningful, ongoing process. It will take many different forms, which will include summative testing, but is mainly ongoing, formative assessment for learning. Universal Design for Learning strategies (UDL) are used to give children agency over aspects of their learning and to further differentiate our curriculum to meet the need of all of our children.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): What You Need to KnowUniversal Design for Learning (UDL) is a way of thinking about teaching and learning that helps give all students an equal opportunity to succeed. This approach offers flexibility in the ways students access material, engage with it and show what they know. Developing lesson plans this way helps all kids, but it may be especially helpful for kids with learning and attention issues.
