Chemical Detecting Robots
This project allows students to build a robot from a multitude of components to best solve the given problem within the given constraints.
Problem - A remotely controlled robot must be designed, constructed, and programmed to traverse an obstacle course, test for the presence of H2O2, and return the results to the operator.
Constraints - The robot must be built using only components from a selected set. Students must do all research in locating construction techniques and programming of the robot. The instructor provides minimal assistance. This ensures that the students are doing the work, not replicating what they feel is what the instructor is looking for.
