Trial of the

Tell-Tale Heart

After reading “The Tell Tale Heart” students will divide into 4 groups: Prosecution, defense, and jury, court procedure experts.

Objective: Debate (Mock Trial) if the murderer from The Tell Tale Heart is guilty or not guilty of the crime.

Research the steps and duties of the prosecution and defense. “Find” expert witnesses and prepare those witnesses. Jury and court procedure experts will organize and oversee the running of the trial.
