FancastS

Have you ever thought of a book, game, or cartoon that has not become live-action yet, and you are desperate for certain actors to be in the live-action version? That's what this column is for!

FanCast: Fantasia

By Karlee Cornell

This month's fancast is going to be about attempting to turn a video game into a television series or movie. Some game companies, other than cheesy Roblox, might make their products better or worse when adapting them, or just so terrifically funny that it makes it decent to watch. Please, anything better than Bobs Burgers or Sanjay And Craig. The irony of making films, according to Grants Pass Film as Lit teacher Mrs. Albertson, is that, "It is harder than you think it would be." Keep up with the Scrolling!

Protagonists suggested for a Fantasia Fancast

Winona Ryder

Winona Ryder deserves the random role of queen. To get an idea of this character, see the picture to the left.  Oh my, this Fantasia queen has definitely had the adoration of hazel-eyed men.

Winona deserves this role because, not only do her looks fit the profile, but she also deserves it after the amount of hatred she went through from paparazzi on the Stranger Things set, as proven by Wired. Honestly, you go woman! This is my entertainment.

Use the picture of Winona on the left to see her queen-like stare aimed at the random individual looking at her. This is queen behavior right there. Will she have evil intentions? That's up to whoever wants to carry on with this series or movie.

Sofia Carson

Okay, maybe I just miss Sofia Carson as Evie in Descendants or maybe I am not over her past independent and in-charge roles in Adventures In Babysitting, Feel The Beat, and Purple Hearts. These are all incredible acts of literature and, if Sofia Carson, happens to rule over the screen again, job done. Princesses are lovely. We need more princesses in the world.

I'm secretly a royal nerd. If you could not tell already, Carson's roles defined my upbringing.

There was a phase where I thought I was "normal", as stated by my friends, but they did not know that I was secretly a series addict, watching Enchanted from a young age far more than I read, breathed, and talked. If you’re concerned or scared, you should be concerned or scared. Welcome to the front of Tyrrell's room.

Side Characters for a Fantasia Fancast

Jeff Marsh

Menor is the very, very, annoying guy in the game. Those who join the game in dark mode are met by Menor, repeating the phrase: "Please go to your assigned room. Please go to your assigned room." Players can't even explore the game without Menor's annoying voice lines. At least the develops could have added in a jingle or something that uses maracas.

After Menor's annoying voiceover, we never hear him again. Strangely, he completely disappears for the rest of the game. Did the contagious talker just get kidnapped or did he fall down the stairs? What exactly happened? I looked everywhere in the game, and Menor completely vanished. The math is not math-ing. With that being said, you know the world is broken since... it's math.

The actor Jeff Marsh, a voice actor most known for his role in Phineas and Ferb, is becoming truly forgotten in the film industry. He just needs to somehow come back to the TV world. Would it not be appropriate enough for him to come back to film, just for this one line? Otherwise, this whole Fancast would be completely pointless, and I can't stand one more failed attempt on my end for senior year.

Deuteragonists for The Fantasia Fancast

Jordan Fisher

A deuteragonist is someone with good and bad intentions, which is good for all sorts of mystery genres, no matter the circumstance.

This deuteragonist is a guard that may have good or bad intentions. You would think that, in comical horror, a character that smiles big and wide would be the victim. I thought this type of guard in the game was innocent because the other guard did not sit right with me. Then, I remembered similar characters: Stu Macher, The Joker, The Mask,  Mean Girls, The Dazzlings, and King Candy/Turbo. There is a long list.

Jrdan Fisher qualifies for this role because he has that singing voice and singing for this part of the film would be cool because of the mysterious element of the game. I never say I want to be a director, and then I see an underrated actor being thrown in the shadows for no reason and ask myself: what is  Disney going to do? Borrow him from me to build a snowman? Just kidding, I have no beef with Disney.

Kevin Quinn

For some reason, something was completely off about Guard #2. Here you have one guard smiling while this one is just in the dark. Is this supposed to be just really bad game quality or is this kind of hinting that Guard #2 knows what happened to Cupcake? It bugs me because I am looking at a poor game character's eyes, saying something is suspicious about you when all the uninteresting characters both have the same eyes. You are so helpful, Roblox. That also goes for you, E-bay. Stop being suspicious.

The last choice is the most obvious. "Oh, you're a guard. What's your name?'' Kevin. Quinn would be great for this role because of his flexibility in playing both mean and nice roles, like Xander from Bunkin' It, Zac Chase, In Adventures In Babysitting, Will Hawkins from A Week Away, and Jordan Van D in He's All That. His knowledge from playing these roles will make him successful.

Thanks for tuning in, much love from your favorite Cornell child.
