Your student will be learning:

to identify U.S. coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters) by name and value.
that each coin is worth a different amount and that the size of a coin does not indicate its value.
- example: A nickel is not worth more than a dime just because it is bigger.
how to sort coins based on their color, size, heads or tails, or texture.
