Currently, through Principal, employees are eligible to contribute and change their contribution % and/or $ amount at any time during their employment. 

• Employees can begin contributing at any time.

• The company match starts the first of the month following 1 year of service. 

• The company will match dollar for dollar up to 3% -- with employee contributions of any amount over 3% to 5% being matched at 50%. 

• There is no vesting schedule. Employee and employer contributions are made weekly. 

• All funds belong to the employee at time of remittance. 

In order to start contributing or change your contribution rate, you must first contact HR with your desired dollar/percentage amount to be applied to your payroll deduction.

Only after notifying HR will your Principal account be activated.
