Trends Over Time
Overview
This method of extracting item analysis from the Centralized Reporting System (CRS) produces a data display that replicates the manner in which results were displayed in the previous Online Reporting System (ORS) with the added ability to view trends over time displayed at the standard level.

Prior Year Materials
This section contains access to all resources and templates necessary in order to complete this method of item analysis.
If you had exported data from the Online Reporting System from prior years, this method can show trends from prior years:
In the CRS (created using 2022 files)
Select the appropriate year
Features & Tools – Change Reporting Time PeriodUse the Filters (left navigation) to select the appropriate Test Groups – select Apply
From the Performance Distribution dashboard, select the subject card to view individual assessments
Export the Report from the CRS
Click the icon to the left of the test name (green arrow icon)
Select the option:
Overall Test, Reporting Category and Item Performance of all students
CSV formatFrom the Secure Inbox, select the hyperlink to save to your device
Save (or identify) where this file is located on your device
Import the Data (created using 2022 files)
Open the Workbook template file saved to your drive.
From the CRS Exported data and starting with the row that says Student Data, select all rows until you have reached your final student. The starting row will depend upon the number of buildings you have listed. In most cases it will begin around row 12-17. Copy the data you have selected.
Paste the data into cell A1 (Green) in the workbook template for the tab that matches the test.
Repeat steps for all tested subjects listed. We will not have item level data for ELA tests administered this spring.
Once all steps are complete copy the URL of your workbook.
Get the Results (created using 2022 files)
Open the Item Analysis Template with hidden columns saved to your drive.
Paste the URL from your workbook into cell B4(RED) on the item analysis worksheet’s Imports Tab.
Hover over cell C4 and select the blue button to allow access
Refresh the page for values to appear in the analysis tab.
