Overview
This method of extracting item analysis from the Centralized Reporting System (CRS) produces a data display that replicates the manner in which results are presented in the Centralized Reporting System (CRS) with pivoted results for easier viewing. Also included are direct hyperlinks to the released test questions.

Use the directions and resources posted on this page and the simulated data set available below to experiment with utilizing this method.
In the CRS
Select the appropriate year
Features & Tools – Change Reporting Time PeriodUse the Filters (left navigation) to select the appropriate Test Groups – select Apply
From the Performance Distribution dashboard, select the subject card to view individual assessments
Export the District Performance on Test from the CRS – Print
Click on each assessment hyperlink to open District Performance on Test
In the upper right corner, select Print
Report Options – Summary & Item Scores
Print Options – Save to CSV
Select Confirm
From the Secure Inbox, select the hyperlink to save to your device, then open the exported Item Performance by School report in Excel.
Modify the Exported Data
Delete columns A – S, then delete all “performance distributions” columns
Delete first 7 rows, delete any legend rows at the bottom
Copy all
In a new sheet
Paste - Transpose
In the Item Analysis Template
Copy and paste the transposed data into the template.
