Operating the Kiosk Platform

Note! If candidates are trying to log in to their kiosk exam and it isn't working, make sure you have checked them in on the Proctor Portal calendar. If they are not checked in, their exam will not start.

Accessing the Ergometrics/National Testing Network Testing Application

• Click on the executable file on the desktop

Candidate Login

To take a public safety exam, select the Public Safety Testing button. This will direct the browser to the appropriate exam login page.

1. Select the Candidate Login Type.

2. Enter the Candidate Log In Email (candidate email address)

3. Enter the NTN Password (candidate sets this up when  they create an NTN account)

4. Select Log in.

5. The test will begin.

Proctor Login

Proctor logins are a last resort and should not be used unless the Candidate cannot log themselves in using their email address in our records and Test Key.

1. 1. Select the Proctor  button.

   2. Enter the Application ID (this is listed on the day's schedule/roster)

   3. Enter the candidate's First Name. 

   4. Enter the candidate's Last Name.

   5. Enter the Proctor Username.

   6. Enter the Proctor Password.

   7. Select Log in.

   8. The test will begin.

Exam Navigation

Most exam navigation occurs in the content area during the interactive process of testing.  There are three additional navigation options in the exam page that the candidate can select while testing:

• Close - The close button will exit the candidate’s exam.  A warning will come up asking if this action is okay.  Click the yes button to exit the exam.  Please note closing the exam does not complete the exam.  If the candidate logs back in the exam will pick up where it left off.

• Refresh - The refresh button will reload the current page that the candidate is on.  This is most commonly used when a page does not load properly or video content does not play.

• Volume Adjust - Below the video window are icons that candidates can use to adjust the volume of the exam.  The adjustment of volume is slight, so having headphone that can control volume is recommended.
