Please Note: If the Tenure-Track Faculty Member under review wishes to adjust their eDossier timeline, they must contact the VPAA’s Office to make arrangements and determine an alternate timeline.
At the time of hire
The tenure-track faculty member's Chair or Dean will appoint a Tenure-Track Faculty Mentor. Non-tenure-track faculty members will also be assigned an Official Faculty Mentor.
The VPAA's Office will create a Google Folder for each new faculty member. That folder will serve as the template for the faculty member’s draft folder as they gather material for their future Third Year Review.
May 31 of the 4th semester
The Chair or Dean will appoint the Third Year Review Committee
The Third Year Review Committee chooses a Chair
The Third Year Review Committee notifies Tenure & Promotion of the Committee's members and Committee Chair
By September 30 of the 5th Semester
The Tenure-Track faculty member will submit the eDossier to the VPAA's Office.
October 1 of the 5th Semester
The VPAA's Office will share the candidate's eDossier with the Chair of the Third Year Review Committee and the Committee members.
The Chair of Tenure & Promotion sends the Third Year Review Committee Chair the Tenure-Track Evaluation Form and all other necessary documentation.
The Third Year Peer Review Committee Chair will validate the candidate's dossier against the tenure criteria.
By November 1 of the 5th Semester
The Committee will evaluate the eDossier, and the Committee Chair will write a documented review with recommendations, based on the findings.
The Committee will then meet with the Tenure-Track faculty member under review to discuss the documented review with recommendations.
The Chair of the Third Year Review Committee will deliver electronically to the VPAA's Office the documented review with recommendations
The VPAA's Office will then share the eDossier, along with the documented review with recommendations, with the Chair or Dean.
The Division Chair will evaluate the eDossier and the documented review with recommendations and write a report, which will be shared electronically with the VPAA's Office. The Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences and Professional Programs may also share their evaluation of a candidate with the VPAA's Office at this time.

If the VPAA decides to renew the Tenure-Track Faculty Member's contract, the VPAA will meet with the Chair and/or Dean, the Tenure-Track Faculty Mentor, and Tenure-Track Faculty Member at the conclusion of the review process to discuss the results of the review and make recommendations for successful continuation in the tenure-track program.
The VPAA will inform the Tenure-Track Faculty Member, the Chair, and the Dean if the Tenure-Track Faculty Member's contract is not being renewed for a fifth year.
