The list of formats found below are designed to help organize the eDossier and allow the Tenure & Promotion Committee to review your documents in the order you'd like them to be seen. This naming convention is based on the Tenure Criteria (General Materials, Teaching Effectiveness, Scholarship, and Service) and may not be applicable to all candidates. Please feel free to adjust titles and numbers as needed to fit your specific documentation.
The format for the naming convention includes the following:
Section/folder letter to keep all items for one area together. (i.e., G for “general materials”, SE for "Service")
Document number to keep all items in reading order. (i.e., 001 for “table of contents”, 002 for "Narrative"). Please use the 3 number option as it will keep documents in the correct order. When using just a 1 digit number in the file name the computer will put them in the order of 1, 10, 100, 2, 3 & 50 instead of 001, 002, 003, 010, 050, 100.
Document title (either full or abbreviated) to inform the T&P Committee of what's in the document. (i.e., TOC or Table of Contents)
Example of a file name: G-001 TOC.
G = General Materials
001 = The first document in that section
