Write a Biography

A biography is like a story of another persons life with lots of details. Today, I'm going to teach you a few of the steps of writing one. 

When writing a biography, you would include some things about the person like like: 

• Where and when was he/she born?

• What school/schools did he/she attend

• What was his/her job/ where did he work

• Did he/she have any family? E.g. Siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins?

Here is a short example biography on Roald Dahl:

Roald Dahl was born on the 13th September 1915 at Llandaff, Cardiff, United Kingdom in his family home.  He grew up alongside is brothers and sisters. As a primary school child, Roald attended St Peters in Llandaff Cathedral, but he then moved on to his first boarding school.

After leaving school at the age of 17, Roald started working at the Shell oil company, however, when the second world war broke out, he was hired for a job as an army pilot. After working as a pilot, he then started writing some of his bestselling books such as 'Matilda' and Charlie and the chocolate factory.

After his work as an Author, Roald married Patricia Neal who he divorced and then married Felicity d'Abreau Crosland with whom he had 5 children.

I used Roald Dahl as an example, but at home, you can write a biography about anyone you want!
