What is comprehension?

Comprehension comes from the word comprehend which means understand. So, comprehension is when you have to read a text and answer questions related to it. Remember that the answers to the questions will always be in the text unless the question starts with "What do you think......".

Dogs

Dogs are small mammals that are commonly used as pets. They can be many shapes, sizes ad colours depending on their breed.

Dogs are omnivores, meaning that they need nutrition from meat and plants alike to survive. Some things that you might find a dog eating are meat, bones, dog food. Though this may seem like its all meat, dog food can actually have plant and herbal proteins in it.

If you want to have a healthy and happy dog, its important to make sure that it is getting plenty of food, water and exercise.

Question 2. What colour are dogs?

Question 3. What do dogs eat?

Question 4. Do you think that different sizes of dogs need different amounts of food? Why or why not?

Try This At Home:

Read a book for 20-30 minutes and then write 2-8 questions based on it. When you are finished, get someone in you family or a friend to read the same thing you read and answer the questions you wrote. How many did they get right?
