A sizzling start is an interesting sentence or two that you use at the beginning of an introduction on a narrative to make it more interesting. For example, this is a sizzling start: I heard a loud bang behind me as i eerily watched a big shadow crawl towards me. My heart was beating against my lungs, and I gasped for air as the shadow reached out for me...... See how this sizzling start just makes you want to keep reading and see what happens next?
