NYCOS East Lothian Regional Choir for P4–P7
We’re excited to share that NYCOS is launching a brand new East Lothian Regional Choir! We would be so grateful if you could help us promote this opportunity to your pupils and their families.
We have attached a PDF flyer with all the details and would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with your P4–P7 classes or include it in your school newsletter.
Following the fantastic response to our recent singing workshops in the area, we are thrilled to offer this new opportunity for children to come together, develop their musical skills, and experience the joy of singing in a group.

Learning for Sustainability Teacher Forum 2 October
Learning for Sustainability is an entitlement for all learners within Curriculum for Excellence. Across East Lothian schools we have examples of good practice and support available. To move this forward a Learning for Sustainability Teacher Forum has been planned for 2 October 4pm - 5pm at John Muir House. This forum will be hosted by Al Stewart, QIO, Cheyne Hamm, ELC Sustainability and Climate Change Officer and Jo Gibb, Community Development Officer, East Lothian Climate Hub. The session will provide an opportunity to share the strategic plan for Learning for Sustainability across the local authority, explore potential supports for schools and network. To aid planning, schools wishing to join this forum are asked to coordinate one return per school via this Google Form. I very much look forward to welcoming colleagues on 2 October as we work towards the national strategy set out in Target 2030.
Please fill in the Google Form below to attend.

The ‘informed’ level applies to any practitioner providing services to the public, especially those likely to come in contact with children, young people and/or their families. The ‘informed’ module may also be helpful for others who wish to gain a general understanding about ‘Getting it right for every child’. The ‘skilled’ level applies to any practitioner likely to come in contact with babies, infants, children, young people and/or their families and carers, especially those working directly with them. The ‘skilled’ module may also be helpful for others who wish to gain more depth of understanding about ‘Getting it right for every child’.
